Acrylic Tennis Court System Layers

Acrylic Tennis Court System Layers

Scoreboard and Artificial Turf Construction

An acrylic tennis court system, approved by the International Tennis Federation, consists of 5 layers: Primer, Resurfacer, Cushion Layer, color coat, and line paint. Unlike the stages of **indoor carpet field construction**, the tennis court creates a usable area for basketball, tennis, volleyball, and other sports. The Primer layer, composed of a transparent and single-component acrylic polymer, is applied to increase the adhesion of the asphalt surface. The Resurfacer, a single-component acrylic polymer applied to concrete or asphalt surfaces mixed with concentrated 100% acrylic latex binder and silica sand, is used to increase the adhesion of the Cushion system. The Cushion System, applied in 3 layers over the Resurfacer, contains the substructure of the tennis court with special granulometric rubber and high-performance latex binder, helping to provide elasticity to the surface. The color coat, a coating containing 100% acrylic latex binder filled with silica sand, is produced in special colors and is designed to control the speed of the game. This layer, resistant to tearing, uses colors such as light and dark green, and terracotta red upon request.

Wire Fence and Net Works

Wire fences that protect the field from external factors are made to prevent materials inside the field from escaping. They are applied around the perimeter of the field with a thickness of 3.6 mm, a height of 4 m, and intervals of 50 mm. In the wire fence application for indoor carpet field construction, dip galvanized PVC-coated hellical wire mesh is used. Nets made of polyamide yarn, number 66 for the field and number 120 for the back of the goals, are used. The line paint, used with or without silica sand filling, is used to define the playing areas. Artificial turf, which is less costly than natural grass, has no irrigation or maintenance costs. Preferred in all international matches because the risk of injury to players on artificial turf, designed to be suitable for all weather conditions, is lower. The artificial turf applied during the construction of indoor carpet fields is very practical. The scoreboard, generally designed for mini football fields, is easily mounted in a short time thanks to its ergonomic control panel.
