Great Reaction Formed Before the Project Was Implemented
The expenditures made for the smart board project, which all of Turkey is eagerly awaiting, caused a great reaction even before the project was implemented. The fact that a large portion of the expenditures were unnecessary caused the reaction to grow even further.
High-Cost Seminars
The frequent organization of high-cost seminars in five-star hotels by a special unit established by the Ministry of National Education solely for the purpose of carrying out the smart board project, the unnecessary use of 34 million lira in project advertising expenses, and finally, the empty remote education centers established at a cost of 22 million lira, have also drawn the reaction of the Ministry of National Education, leading the ministry to dismiss the project manager and initiate an administrative investigation into the individuals working on the project.
