What are Lake Salts

Besides rock salts on land, there are also rivers, wells, springs, and lakes that contain a lot or a little salt outside of these salts. In these stages, the sources of all these are generally rock salts. When underground water currents generally pass through a layer of salt, they dissolve some of the salts and incorporate them into their own structure, and they must bring them to the surface in the form of wells and streams. It should be known that the NaCl ratios contained in these waters, the duration of contact with salt layers of sweet waters, and the intensity manifest themselves to a greater or lesser extent in a short time. While some of the salt lakes around the world may be remnants of ancient inland seas, some are formed by passing through rock salts in the vicinity of wide depressions, resulting in different types of salts. They originate from salty waters collected and formed in pits. Saline water lakes, as well as saline water springs and wells, are found in almost every country.

How is Salt Produced

In our country, raw salt production is generally carried out and produced using natural resources in 4 main ways. These are salt production from seawater, salt production by rock or underground mining methods, salt production from lake water, and salt production from spring underground water. These manifest themselves as different types of salt and are examined. The production methods of sea and lake salts are evaporated by the effects of wind and sun rays. The production systems of rock salts are room and pillar methods. It should be known that the largest salt lake in the world is the Great Salt Lake in the USA. However, the Koçhisar Salt Lake in our country is known as one of the most important and valuable salt lakes. The salts taken from these lakes are almost pure.
