Learning in Children Aged 1-1.5
The age period determined by experts to detect whether a child is learning is between 1-1.5 years old. Between the ages of 1.5 and 3, if there are speech delays, speech problems, late walking, delayed acquisition of motor skills, and especially if toilet training cannot be achieved, a learning problem may be considered in the child. Furthermore, excessive dependence on adults; inability to make eye contact, unnecessary restlessness, aggression, crying, and states of lack of control can also indicate a possible learning problem, provided they are intense.
Signs of Learning in Children
In children aged 3 to 6, not yet having acquired conceptual skills; confusing colors, numbers, and opposites like small-big; and also not having acquired toilet skills are among the signs of learning difficulties in children. Inability to perform actions such as holding a pencil, buttoning, or opening lids; hyperactivity or uncontrolled temper tantrums may also indicate the presence of a learning or intelligence problem, or a different issue. If these and similar problems are observed to be intense, it is strongly recommended to seek initial support from a psychiatrist or neurologist.
