Natural or Legal Persons Can Do This Transaction
Trademark registration can be done according to the Decree Law No. 556 on the Protection of Trademark Rights. According to this decree, natural or legal persons residing within the borders of the Republic of Turkey or trading within the borders of the Republic of Turkey are permitted to carry out this transaction. Furthermore, this transaction can be carried out based on the provisions of the agreement within the World Trade Organization or in accordance with the articles of the agreement within the Paris Convention.
Products Are Protected
persons entitled to carry out this transaction can apply to the Turkish Patent Institute to register the logos they use in their products or services, and those who do not apply directly to the TPE can also apply to authorized intermediary firms. After this transaction, the products they have created with material and moral effort are protected by law, and the trademark owner has the right to initiate the necessary legal proceedings if they encounter a company that imitates them after this transaction.
