Adding an Image to a Word Document

Adding an Image to a Word Document

Using Office Programs

When it is necessary to support the text in a Word document prepared for a homework assignment or another topic with an image, the process is quite simple. After left-clicking on the 'insert' option located at the top of the Word document, click on the 'picture' option. This tab contains some options regarding where and what kind of picture to insert, and the appropriate one must be selected from these. For example, if a picture previously downloaded from the Internet or another source is to be inserted, click on the 'from file' option. Then, you need to go to the folder where the picture is located.

What Pictures Does Word Support

If the picture to be used is on the desktop, for example, click on the desktop tab. Then, select the picture and click on the 'insert' option or double-click on it to add it to the file. The Word document supports various picture formats; it allows the insertion of pictures in JPEG, GIF, TIFF, or other formats. If the desired picture does not appear in the list, it may be because it is in a format that Word does not immediately support. In this case, you need to select 'all files' at the bottom and select the file where the picture is located from there.
