Delivery Operations in Commercial Enterprises
What is Delivery to Carrier?
The delivery of goods by sellers at their business premises, such as warehouses and factories, ready for the buyer's requests, signifies the fulfillment of the delivery obligation. At the same time, sellers are not held responsible for loading the goods onto a vehicle provided by the buyer or for passing the goods through export customs, unless otherwise stipulated. After these procedures, buyers bear the responsibility for expenses and risks related to the transportation of goods to the destination, including for services to Iran, domestic transportation and all other countries. In transportation operations from our country to another country or between cities, the seller's delivery obligation concludes with the delivery of the goods after they have passed through export customs and have been delivered to the place or point designated by the buyers. Goods are delivered to Iran, other countries, and through similar systems. If the buyers have not specified a location, the sellers may designate a place near the area where the carrier will take delivery of the goods.
Delivery Operations on Board the Vessel
The seller's delivery obligation is fulfilled when the goods are placed on board vessels at the designated port, whether at the quay or onto a lighter. Nowadays, services are offered in the field of transportation to Iran and other countries through various systems. After loading, all expenses, losses, or potential damage risks related to the goods are borne by the buyers. The costs of loading, unloading, insurance, and freight for the transported goods are covered by the buyers, and the sale prices specified in the contracts include both the goods and the transportation fees up to the quay.
